Layag Layag dive site located in Anilao, Batangas (Philippines). Scuba diving depth between 5m.-15m. / 16ft.-50ft..This area can be experience slight current most of the time. Visibility is from 10m.-15m./33ft.-50ft. This dive spot has long shallow area of scattered big boulders of rocks and thick formation of hard branching corals. It has a slight shallow drop off made out of sand, small rocks and naturally crashed corals that makes it nesting place of hundreds of red tooth trigger fish. The shallow areais fantastic for discover the reef, discover scuba diving and open water scuba divers. Records shows that this place is often visited by sea snakes, Turtles, squids and octopus and lots of mollusk on the shoreline. Scuba Diving style is normally one way moving to the south by Darilaut area.
Layag layag - bahura
5m.-30m. / 16ft.-100ft. in depth. The site is current dive most of the time like in Bahura. Visibility is from 10m.-25m./33ft.-82ft. Diving style is one way which usually start from the shallow corner of layag layag area then moved across right side of Bahura to avoid strong surface current and continue your dive by keeping your self low and besides big formation of rocks. On the exit make it altogether after safety stop and the use of safety anchor helps a lot to keep your group monitored by the boats in the area.The dive site is abundance in all kinds of reef fish, crossing point of barracuda, big rainbow runner, bonitos, jacks and tunas and also sharks. On the shallow area you will see a number of nudibranch and some nice looking multi-colored soft corals.

Access: 30 min by banca southwest across the Maricaban Strait.
Conditions: Generally calm with medium to fierce currents. Visibility can reach 100ft

Extensive coral formations cover a steep though shallow slope from 16 to 60 ft. Scuba Diving Currents can be fierce, so the choice of slack water and preferably neap tide is essential.
The coral is teeming with marine life and often has very good visibility. All the expected smaller reef fish are to be seen and when the currents are running, schools of pelagic fish are common. This dive is known for its very large Spanish Dancer nudibranchs.
